Ever wondered what it was like to be a beekeeper? In the heart of the Al-Hajar mountains, at the Hatta Honey Bee Discovery Centre, you have the chance to experience just that!
The Hatta Honey Bee Discovery Centre has an area of 16,000 square metres (172,200 feet), in which you'll find more than 300 hives, 4,000 beehives and hundreds of native and exotic trees that are a paradise for these insects. With the entrance fee, you can put on a beekeeper's suit and learn all about this amazing world.
Expert beekeepers will tell you about the crucial role played by bees in nature, as well as the importance of honey production. To learn more about this sweet activity, you'll be able to taste the different types of honey produced in this fascinating garden.
The Hatta Honey Bee Discovery Centre is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm, and last entry is at 4 pm. However, these opening hours are flexible and may be subject to change.
