Versailles & Giverny (9.5 Hours)

We'll pick you up at your hotel and travel west of the French capital. After a 1.5-hour drive, we'll arrive in Giverny.

In this picturesque Norman village, we'll take a guided tour of the gardens of the Foundation of Claude Monet, where we'll see the water lilies, oriental plants, and the Japanese bridge that inspired the Impressionist painter. Afterward, you'll have 45 minutes of free time to explore the interior of the house, including the dining room and the artist's private quarters, which still preserve their original furnishings.

Next, we will take a short 10-minute drive to the Moulin de Fourges restaurant, where you will enjoy a delicious set menu:

  • Apéritif: Kir normand with cyder.
  • Starters: tomatoes, mozzarella, and pesto sauce.
  • Main dish: chicken, creamy mushroom sauce, and potato gratin.
  • Dessert: chocolate mousse with crunchy hazelnuts.
  • Drinks: white or red wine, still or sparkling water, and coffee or tea.

In the afternoon, after lunch, we will travel to the Palace of Versailles, a jewel of French Baroque architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Once there, we'll take a guided tour, exploring the Royal Apartments, where we'll discover majestic furnishings including tapestries, chandeliers, and other decorative arts. We'll also visit the elegant Hall of Mirrors, where the Treaty of Versailles, which ended World War I, was signed in 1919.

After the Palace tour, you'll have approximately 1 hour of free time to explore the gardens of Versailles. You can even see its famous musical fountains, which usually operate on weekends between April and November.

Finally, we'll leave Versailles and conclude this private tour by returning to your hotel in Paris.

Châteaux of the Loire Valley (12.5 Hours)

If you choose this option, we'll travel to the Loire Valley, whose magnificent collection of French Renaissance castles is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After a journey of about 2.5 hours, we'll arrive at the Château de Chambord, where you'll have approximately 1 hour to explore this palace, which features the iconic spiral staircase designed by Leonardo da Vinci.

Our tour will then continue to the Château de Chenonceau, famous for its series of arches over the River Cher. Once there, we'll take a guided tour of this charming palace and discover why it's known as "the Ladies' Castle."

After the tour, you'll have about 1 hour of free time for lunch near the castle. After lunch, we'll head to the Château de Cheverny, where you'll have about 45 minutes of free time to explore this mansion that inspired Hergé to design Captain Haddock's castle in the Tintin comics.

Finally, from Cheverny, we'll return to your hotel in Paris.

Bruges (13.5 Hours)

Want to visit Belgium's most beautiful city from Paris? We'll pick you up at your hotel and head north. After a drive of approximately 3.5 hours, we'll arrive in Bruges, known as the "Venice of the North."

If you take the tour between April and October, you'll also enjoy a boat ride along Bruges' canals. This approximately 1-hour journey will take you past some of the most beautiful spots in this Flemish city. It's sure to be a romantic getaway!
